Hypodermic injections give the best results in terms of administratio efficiency, in contrast to oral delivery because they avoid the gastrointestinal track and allow the control over administration time. Intradermal injections, however, have a negative image among patients, who often fear the pain linked to them. With the advent of MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems), opportunities have emerged to advance in the field of minimally invasive injections and particularly in the field of micro-needles. Indeed the innervated part of the dermis is located at approximately 1.5mm below the surface of the skin, needles of less than 1mm do thus not reach it and thus do not hurt. This project involves the development of micro-needles devices for intradermal transfer of liquids.
