A voltage regulator is designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level. Electronic voltage regulators are found in devices such as computer power supplies where they stabilize the DC voltages used by the processor and other elements

The project is to realize a voltage regulator using a dynamo for bicycle to charge a mobile phone battery that could be used in Africa by people living in rural areas without electricity sources. The regulator would be mounted on the bike and used to charge the battery with the power coming from the dynamo during daily trips to/from the cities.

Therefore, this regulator should be cheap, robust, compatible with most of the dynamos (for bicycles) and phone batteries and easy to plug.
