Learning (by cognitive rupture) new knowledge and inventing scientific knowledge are basically the same cognitive process.
We demonstrated it by retrospectively verifying that our Overgeneralized Domain of Validity-based Framework is applicable to the invention of Maxwell equations in XIXth century.
This framework has been developed through our research works in didactics of applied sciences. It allows to better detect, analyze and know how to overcome learning difficulties known as "preconceptions"

By applying our framework to a historical scientific theory evolution, we have enriched the framework for teachning and learning purposes and derived principles and models that could help to accelerate invention.

The aim of this thesis is to retrospectively test the framework to another major evolution in the History of Sciences, for instance the works of Albert Einstein to reconcile the laws of classical mechanics with the laws of the electromagnetic field.
