Major breakthroughs in science are characterized by a radical change in the interpretation given to a set of phenomenons (cognitive rupture). When a new interpretation of phenomenon has to be found, looking at completely different fields of science could help to find new ideas and models, finally “importing” concepts from one domain to another. 

In order to facilitate this operation, a comparison tool between concepts of different theories would be helpful. An “ontology comparator” is then needed, as well as a way to encode scientific concepts from various theories in a way allowing comparison. This comparator could suggest concepts from other theories that could match the experiences or part of theory already identified.

The work consists to explore this issue starting from a very simple definition of what is a concept, and to try building a proof of concept as well as identifying key properties of such a concept comparator and import tool.
