Pierre Henneaux holds a Master Sc. degree in Engineering Physics (2009) and a PhD in Applied Sciences (2013), both from the Université libre de Bruxelles (Belgium). His PhD thesis proposed a “Two-level Probabilistic Risk Assessment of cascading failures leading to blackouts in transmission power systems”. Since October 2018, he is also an associate professor in the field of power systems at the Université libre de Bruxelles. His research fields mainly deal with probabilistic methods applied to power systems, especially with reliability studies (probabilistic adequacy & security studies), and with power system planning. He is also a key expert in power system reliability and power system planning with Tractebel.
